The PERRIN Performance cold air intake systems use proper MAF alignment and plumbing size, both of which are crucial to maintain proper air fuel ratios and prevent check engine lights that plague competitors. The MAF sensor bung is CNC machined for perfect fit and proper alignment of MAF sensor to intake. This is crucial for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management. The WRX intake comes with a heat shield to redirect hot engine air away from the intake to allow for near ambient air intake temperatures.
During normal driving, the PERRIN intake sounds relatively stock. However, under load it really comes to life, unlocking the sound of your turbo flat-4. Once installed, the sound of your blowoff valve will be much more prominent, demanding attention and alerting people that your car is undeniably modified.

Great for someone who does not have a tuned vehicle. Honestly a pain in the rear to install but I’m sure it would be the same with any other brand. Loud air sucking sound when driving, even over the axel backs! Very large filter that is very noticeable.
Good quality product as expected from Perrin. Just as described, while driving without load there’s virtually no sound. As soon as you start putting moderate petal pressure you can hear the turbo clear as. My Boomba bpv is very noticeable too; could barely hear it with the stock airbox. I also have the Perrin turbo inlet pipe so Perrin was my first choice for a cai since it’s short enough that I didn’t have to cut the inlet pipe. Thanks for the super fast shipping IIR!
