Reduce drivetrain shudder under hard acceleration by installing a PERRIN Pitch Stop mount. The factory pitch stop mount is designed to control the pitching of the engine and transmission under light to normal acceleration. Subaru's with power and drivetrain upgrades will need PERRIN's more aggressive option.
Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from front axle torque twist. To control this front to back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop is made of plastic with soft rubber bushings, allowing for a significant amount of movement under hard driving conditions, creating drivetrain slop & shudder.

So I purchased this from my dude Dane, it got here super fast and is totally top notch quality in comparison to the OEM. Since I had a FMIC already out of the way install took less than 20 minutes. Now to emphasize the difference it was, I have only been driving manual for roughly a month and it is my daily with bumper to bumper traffic in the morning to work or in my neighborhood and I will say the difference is soaking up all the slack that was there to include just the bumpy jerky motion from 1st to 2nd. If you want to get rid of the and have much more notchy smoother shifts this is a great way to achieve that.

Install was very self explanatory and easy. The part itself has made a nice difference in between 1st and second 2 shift as intended.
I love this pitch stop as it feels great taking off from a stop but it makes my car sound like a tractor haha
Works great, relatively easy install
I am not mechanically inclined and have turned very few wrenches in my day, but this was a stress free easy install. There is a clear improvement in lower gears eliminating that jerky feeling when forced to be a lower speeds. There is a slight increase in sound from the engine, but to be honest, I like hearing the engine more.
Easy installation.
This really cleaned up the lurching and rocks in all gears. Stiffens up the engagement and makes everything feel more responsive! The install was farely simple-ish. Make sure not to drop the washers on the short end and use an impact to loosen as well (it makes things easier). The bolts are extremely tight from the factory.
For $100, this is the best upgrade you can give this car. No more bouncing around in first and second gear. Makes the car much more stable and easier to drive. Takes about 10 minutes to install.
