Import Image Racing is proud to carry the PERRIN Shifter Stop which has been designed to help eliminate some of the inherent shifter slop in your vehicle. Especially the horizontal slop between 1st and 2nd gear shift gates which have an average of 1" of shift play. With the PERRIN Shifter Stop, it will reduce the horizontal movement by up to 0.12" to make a solid connection between the driver and the transmission.
This shifter stop will bolt directly to the transmission, and it is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum materials which allows for countless downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear. Additionally, PERRIN supplies hardware that will remove the existing gap in the shifter assembly which will further reduce the lateral shifter assembly movement.
NOTE: For use with a 2018 WRX without the factory short shifter option installed. If you 2018 WRX has the option factory short shifter, you will need this shifter stop.
Definitely a must have for the VB. No more 1st and 2nd gear sloppiness. The perrin shifter stop was an easy install and I definitely recommend it.

Install can be finicky trying to get everything set where you want until you can tighten it down, but overall it works great. Shifts feel much better

I was a bit skeptical at how much of a difference this would actually make. I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. This is a must for any VB WRX. Super easy install too, about 20 minutes. I’m going to look at some reviews on the super stops and may add those too.
The install is easy as can be but can take a few adjustments. Once it is set up correctly, shifting to first and second feel solid and definitely worth the low price of this product. My only complaint is installing the washers: after reading the instructions, I was unsure how much to tighten the nuts and I don’t know the exact benefit of the washers. But they are installed and I hope I didn’t over tighten the nuts.
I really felt the difference from not having one and having one really happy with my purchase!
Ties everything together nicely
One of the best cheap mods out there. Tightens up 1st and 2nd and makes the shifting more solid. Easy install with great results.
